CENSUS is excited to be participating for the third time at AthCon, the leading technical IT security conference in Greece. This year our researcher Dimitris Glynos will be presenting a new design for executable packing that allows penetration testers to hide malicious payloads from a wide variety of antivirus engines.
In his talk, entitled “Packing Heat!”, Dimitris will explain how antiviruses currently work, why it is now easier to create metamorphic executables that evade AV detection, how to go about building such a metamorphic packer and finally, what features future antiviruses need to have to compensate for this type of evasion technique.
